Wall - Fallen San Antonio Police Officers
"Dedicated to the men and women of the San Antonio Police Officers'
Association who have sacrificed their lives in the service of our
community"The Memorial Wall was completed in 1998 and the first
memorial service was held in May 1998. The service included
lighting of the "eternal flame" and welcomed families
of slain officers to trace their loved ones' names. Today,
the onyx colored marble memorial wall stands prominently at the
San Antonio Police Academy's court yard. It is situated in
a manner that it is visible from almost every angle, either from
inside the building or outdoors. The "eternal flame"
burns steadfastly in front of the memorial wall during the day and
at night, it offers a warm glow that reflects off of the wall.
