Governing Body

Visit the Past Presidents of the San Antonio Police Officers' Association. These dedicated and selfless members have contributed greatly to make our association what it has grown to become. Throughout the years these members have guided this organization from a social group of officers to the State's most modeled police labor organization. The entire time they have continued to work with community leaders, building mutual trust and respect. This was the first building owned by the San Antonio Police Officers' Association, purchased in 1986.

Our Current President, Michael Helle, continues to represent the membership with never ending diligence and tireless effort. He too continues the tradition of building and strengthening ties with the San Antonio Community. He has a special welcome for visitors.

The Executive Board members provide the much needed support for the president. They provide the stability within our organization, without their combined expertise progress would be slow or non existent.

The Board of Directors are the decision makers for the San Antonio Police Officers' Association, they are our Congress. Every officer that has decided to take the time to represent fellow officers, to speak for them and to inform them, should receive a great deal of respect from all of us. This was the first meeting hall owned by the Association.

The Association Staff should receive special recognition from all the members, these employees have demonstrated their commitment to the membership and the community of San Antonio. If these dedicated employees of the San Antonio Police Officers Association were not here, not even the President would be able to accomplish the many duties required.

All Committees and Members should be commended for the hard work they do to keep our organization moving. If not for these dedicated fellow officers the association and the City of San Antonio would suffer greatly.
